"Hello
Condoleza!"
June 18, 2007
| Exactly a year ago, the U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleza Rice gathered
some of her cronies at the Lebanese political stage and declared to the World
that a New Middle East is about to emerge after the Lebanon second war with
Israel. In case, you did not hear about the June 2006 war, it was a 34-day
war between Lebanon and Israel. On the Israeli side, it was headed by the
incompetent Ehud Olmert, who has become a joke in the eyes of his Israeli
citizens after losing the war to Hezbollah, a Lebanese, Iranian and Syrian
supported political and military movement. |

In June 2006 war, many Lebanese and Israelis lost their lives. Israel attempted,
and attempted to crash the Lebanese fighters, but the opposite happened!
And truly, another Middle East has emerged!
Condoleza's prediction was materialized, but not in an accurate way! Ms.
Rice thought that Israel will defeat the Lebanese fighters; especially
an ample time opportunity was given to the Israeli forces to
destroy Hezbollah and Lebanon, especially, in the border area. Indeed, Israel
had destroyed Lebanon's infrastructure! They even killed many innocent Lebanese,
but eventually, Israel lost the war. And Condi lost her credibility in the
eyes of the Arabs and Lebanese. A number of Israel's leaders were misplaced,
sacked, and fired. They left office with a CRIMINAL designation embossed
on their foreheads.
"Condi," as she is known in her inner-circle, (she) wanted to see a Middle
East free of "thugs" like Hezbollah. A group that helped the Lebanese, who
were affected by the Israeli bombardment immediately after the cease-fire.
A latest released estimate indicates that Hezbollah paid over $300,000,000.
Yes, over three-hundred millions U.S. dollars to help the Lebanese resettle
and rebuilt their homes after they were destroyed. The only thing Hezbollah
did not do, is to compensate these Lebanese for the lives of their loved
ones.
Condi wanted to see a Middle East free of Hamas, this "thug" Palestinian
organization, whose only crime is to wage a war against the occupier of its
land and to request the liberation of its people. If you measure the crimes
committed by Israel and the number of people that were killed by Hamas and
those of Israel, it would not be hard to know who is the real terrorist and
criminal.
"Hello Condoleza!" A Hamas fighter uttered this salutation after entering
the Fatah Headquarter in Gaza and while mocking the Palestinian president
Abbas. The Palestinian fighter in a gesture of defiance, lifted the telephone
receiver, and jokingly said, "Hello Condoleza, it is me you will deal with
from now on."
What a tragic policy! What a defeat to Condi's new vision of a new Middle
East. It is a new Middle East alright, but it is not that of Condi's!
Few years ago, when Lebanon took an action against its enemies, the Palestinians
adopted and emulated the Lebanese. Would the Hamas action in Gaza be were
the Lebanese emulate the Palestinians? We will wait and see!
A special note to Condi:
Ms. Secretary:
Most of your senior analysts have failed to predict the new events on the
grounds. The new Middle East you predicted is rapidly changing! If the U.S.
under your leadership does not adopt to the changes, you have to kiss your
presence in that region good bye! In Iraq, you have failed! In Palestine,
you have failed! In addition, in Lebanon, you are about to fail! The Lebanese
politicians you so much admire and placed on a high pedestal, they have no
influence or clout! It is you who are holding them in place. You will fail
in Lebanon if you do not change your tactics and indulge Hezbollah and the
opposition. The time of pride is over! You acted, you screwed up, you failed!
You need the population. You need Hezbollah's and Hamas strength in the region.
If you will act with arrogance as you acted in Iraq and other regions. Let
us be the first to predict your early exit from the Middle East. And
by the way, the Iranians started eating their caviar with Chinese
chopsticks.
