The Pharaoh & The Wise
Man - Part I
April 08, 2002
As he sat at his desk in his egg-shaped office,
his aide presents to him a new map comprising of
his new empire. He is gleeful as ever. The top secret report
accompanying the map, indicates his army are well stationed
all over the globe. The plans are, to conquer and rule.
His top generals predicts the size of his new kingdom. It
will be vast and under his control within few months.
He is delighted and feels superior. He has reached the
top of his potential, and people listens to his suggestions as if
they were orders from God; "Oh yeah, God! I am God" he
whispers to himself. "The heck with it, the real God doesn't
exist, if he does he would protect the oppressed people that now
I am oppressing" he continues. "I must
be God. I rule, I defeat, I am really
God, the new Pharaoh"
He opens the drawer of his desk, picks up a nail cutter. And gently starts
trimming the index finger of his left hand. He secretly smiles, looks around
to see if his aide still around, but, no the aide has long gone.
He looks at the map again, staring as if he is looking for something in
particular, he looks again, and again. He is upset! obviously, very
upset. He calls on his aide, the latter comes rushing in, "Yes, Mr.
President, the glorified Pharaoh" the aide said. The president smiles, as
if he wants to hear his name called again, too many times. "I am looking
for something on the map, and I can't find it!" The Pharaoh said. The aide
is surprised, inquisitively asked, "What is it Mr. President?" The Pharaoh
in a low tone of voice, "I am looking for Palestine, Israel you know.
Where is it on the map?" The aide, in less than a second, points the location
of Palestine, "Here Mr. President" the aide replied.
The new ruler, looks at the tiny size of Palestine,
reviews the facts of pre and post the creation of Israel. Israel, is a country
his previous administration supported blindly since its creation.
