Observing the events in the Middle East, and especially in the occupied land in Palestine, make us wonder of the wisdom behind the Israeli continual of occupying the Palestinian land.

In occupied West Bank, and Gaza, crimes after crimes are committed by the Israelis, while the whole world is watching; and doing nothing against this inhumanity and barbarism against the Palestinian people.

Human Rights Organizations have voiced out their concerns for this grave situation the Palestinians are facing. Their economy have crashed, thanks to the Israeli closure of check points; which prevent the average Palestinian from going to his/her job; which in turn deprive his family of food and shelter; thus, creating a chaotic situation in the Palestinian society. We were told by Jaber H. one of the thousands of workers who were denied access to their jobs, that he feels helpless. His cash resources have drained. He doesn't have enough to buy food for his children. His sentiments were expressed by many others of these hard working, but oppressed people.

This resentment have turned many of the jobless, to other alternatives. The feeling of being humiliated on Israeli check points, and the demeaning of the entire society, have caused many of these workers to join the militias, or the Palestinian resistance to fight this Israeli occupation.

The Israeli policy to demolish the homes of the innocent family of Palestinians militia, proved fruitless, especially amongst those who were targeted, a new resentment is created, thus creating more soldiers for the cause.

Palestine is occupied by a powerful Army. This Army is supported by the United States of America. This support, the U.S. administration considers it to be of the national interest of the country! To support the Jewish people in humiliating the Palestinians and keeping a tough and powerful grip on their necks is of National Interest! Really? No! The story is, perhaps more ideological than we think!

But, anyhow, there is a parallel of events that can be laid down for the lay person. The parallel is that the defeat of the Native-Indians in America, by the ancestors. America, before, was an Indian land. Settled by tribes and people of different race from the White-Caucasian; as it is now, multiethnic people society. But, in reality, America, was an oppressor as well, against (with an apology, we use the term) Native-Indians. Today, these Natives live in reservations, in a way keeping some of the old traditions and customs. Over all they were defeated, and lost their land.

This parallel of events, perhaps in the minds of the people of power; they were thinking to implement the same against the Arabs. And they started in Palestine! Conspiracies were designed, camouflaged with ideological and historical flavor, and the attack began!

Palestine fell, its people subjugated to the worst treatment ever by the Israelis. The same tactics used to destroy the Native-Indians, is used today, with the technology of the 21st century. 53 years had passed since this crime to occupy Palestine, and to this moment, they have failed to crash the spirit of the Palestinians.

Instead of reservations, the Palestinians have refugee camps. Camps, which lack the basic of human conditions. Sewage water runs down the streets. Infrastructures, every time it is repaired by the local Palestinians Authority, it is damaged by American made F-16 used by the Israelis. Everyday in occupied Palestine, there is a Palestinian funeral! Why does it have to be this way?

The current U.S. Administration, which many thought, is a peaceful and God-fearing Administration! You see it today beating the drums of war on Iraq at every occasion. It is like an evil has possessed its inhabitants. No one can forget Sept, 11th., nor should we forget! But, you have to think of the consequences of war!

America today has become the empire of the 21st century; and someone might think that is a good thing! But, don't let your arrogance defeat you, as other empires were defeated in the past. Today, America has a golden opportunity to lead, and be remembered as the Golden Empire. Remember nothing last for ever! Perhaps later, your leadership place will be taken by the Europeans, The Japanese, The Chinese, and We think the Arabs and Muslims.

It is not hard to forget that they have the historical experience, and the technology you are using against their people were made possible by the early inventions of the Arab and Muslims scientists and math explorers; indeed you will be surprised what can come from amongst 1.2 billion.

The Palestinians have suffered enough! The menace of 9/11 has been defeated. Stop beating the drums of war against Iraq, have the United Nations with your backing implement its resolutions. Give the Palestinians their state and rights. Because, simply, the Palestinians are no Indians. And you can't defeat the Palestinians.
