The Dec. 13th capture date of Saddam is coming under suspicion as many of
in-house contacts start revealing that the Iraqi President was arrested few
months before the December 13th date, as a matter of fact (not yet verified
by MiddleEastNews.com) The American Defense Minister (Rumsfield) saw Saddam
in captivity few weeks before the American placed Bremer announced the capture
of Saddam.
According to IRC's spokeswoman Nada Doumani. It was the first time the
Geneva-based body checked on Saddam since his arrest.
The visit to Saddam was arranged after the Pentagon formally declared Saddam
a prisoner of war last month because of his status as commander in chief
of Iraq's military. As a POW, Saddam is entitled under the Geneva Conventions
to certain rights, including visits by the international Red Cross and freedom
from coercion of any kind during interrogations.
The Red Cross delegation, which included a doctor, spoke to Saddam privately
at an undisclosed location in Iraq, Doumani said.
The Red Cross made no statement about Saddam's health or conditions of
confinement - routine practice for the organization. Doumani said the Red
Cross would make periodic visits as long as Saddam remains in custody and
would discuss its findings with U.S. authorities.
Saddam's pre-planned arrest show meant to give confidence to the struggling
U.S. Administration as most Americans are questioning the credibility of
the U.S. President GW. Bush and his commitment to the troops, especially,
it is becoming obvious he never served in a war zone.
According to unconfirmed report, Saddam was captured on October 17, after
he went into a state of depression upon the confirmation of the killing of
his two sons, Quasay and Ouday. A Saddam's relative went to the Americans
in Baghdad and tip them of his whereabout. Later he was deprived of sleep,
interrogated and kept in isolation until his capture show on December 13.
A psychological warfare played to gain support at home and affect his remaining
supporters in the insurgency.
Editor's Note: The early capture of Saddam were
not confirmed by MiddleEastNews.com. It is inclusion meant to show our readers
(if the reports are true) the ugly face of wars, deception and politics.
How man kills his fellow man, and for what reasons. And how our humanity
is affected by irresponsible leaders who will take their nations down just
for the sake of unprivileged glory!
